Location: Greater London
Alexander Steele Recruitment are working exclusively with an established manufacturing business in Surrey to recruit a Part-Time HR Advisor.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced HR professional looking for a broad, hands-on generalist role where you will work closely with managers and employees across the site, providing practical HR support across a wide range of people-related matters.
On offer:
* £35,000 – £40,000 pro rata, depending on experience
* 20 hours per week
* 24 days holidays + bank holidays pro rata

About the Role
You will provide day-to-day HR advice and support across the employee lifecycle, working closely with managers to ensure people matters are handled effectively, consistently and in line with current employment legislation.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Providing advice and guidance on employee relations matters including disciplinary, grievance, performance and absence management.
* Supporting managers with both short and long-term absence cases.
* Advising on HR policies, procedures and UK employment law.
* Supporting recruitment activity, including interviews, offers, onboarding and induction.
* Coaching and supporting managers on a range of people-related matters.
* Building strong working relationships across the business and providing practical, commercially focused HR advice.
* Supporting the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
* Assisting with employee engagement initiatives and wider people projects.
* Maintaining accurate employee records and HR documentation.
* Supporting payroll processes by ensuring employee changes and information are communicated accurately and on time.
* Supporting wider HR projects and business change initiatives.
The role is centred around providing a comprehensive HR advisory service, including recruitment, employee relations, learning and development, absence management and manager support.
Candidate Requirements
We are looking for an experienced HR professional who is confident operating in a generalist advisory role and comfortable managing a varied workload.
Ideally, you will have:
* Previous experience in an HR Advisor, HR Officer, HR Business Partner or similar generalist HR role.
* Strong employee relations experience.
* A good working knowledge of current UK employment law.
* The confidence to advise, coach and appropriately challenge managers.
* Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
* Experience supporting HR projects, policy implementation or organisational change.
* Good organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
* A CIPD qualification or relevant HR/business qualification would be advantageous.
