Position: VP/ AVP - Senior Cloud Engineer - GCP Banking
My reputable, well-established client is continuing their cloud adoption journey and seeking two highly skilled and motivated Google Cloud Engineer (VP/AVP) to join their growing team. You will be responsible for designing, implementing and managing cloud-based solutions on the Google Cloud Platform as part of a multicloud environment.

What you will do:

Working closely with our IT colleagues (including Information Security, Networks, Infrastructure and Support) design, implement and maintain Google Cloud core infrastructure and resources to support our business Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD Dev Sec Ops  tools Monitor and troubleshoot cloud environments ensuring high availability and performance Working with Information Security, assist in the implementation and management of security best practices, including access control, data encryption and threat detection Collaborate with development teams to integrate cloud solutions with existing applications and systems Stay up-to-date with the latest Google Cloud technologies and industry best practices Participate in the evaluation and selection of new cloud-based technologies and services Contribute to the improvement of cloud operations and processes What you will bring:
Proven experience working as a Cloud Engineer in Google Cloud Platform Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and their Google Cloud implementation including networking, storage and security as well as other concepts such as SaaS, PaaS and IaaS Experience and understanding of enterprise patterns and best practices around building out GCP for a regulated organisation (e.g. Landing Zones, Enterprise foundations blueprint, network and connectivity options, etc.)

Proven experience with Dev Sec Ops  practices (e.g. Git, CI/CD) and tools such as Google Cloud Dev Ops, Cloud Build, Git Hub Enterprise and Git Lab Strong proficiency with IaC tools which must include Terraform Solid understanding of Google Cloud Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)

Experience with containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes is a plus Relevant Google Cloud certifications are a plus
