Hybrid | Central London | 3 days onsite, 2 days remote

Salary: £120k to £130k

We are hiring a Data Technical Architect to take a strategic lead in shaping the future of data and information systems for a marine energy supplier.

You will assess the current data and technology landscape, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and design an architecture roadmap that replaces legacy approaches with a modern, integrated and scalable data ecosystem that supports the entire business.

What you will do

Define and lead the data and information architecture strategy across the organisation
Assess current data systems, pipelines and structures, and design a coherent future state data architecture
Drive integration, data quality, governance, resilience and compliance across all platforms
Shape standards, best practice and technical direction while still supporting hands on delivery where needed
Partner with teams across the business to ensure architecture decisions align with real operational needs
Champion modernisation and support the shift away from legacy technologies

What you will bring

Proven expertise in data architecture or data focused technical architecture, ideally within physical trading or commodities businesses
Broad business exposure with experience working across entire organisations, not confined to a single department
A track record of building or maturing an architectural function from the ground up
Strong knowledge of enterprise and data architecture frameworks such as TOGAF
Ability to influence stakeholders, guide engineers and shape long term strategy
Comfortable operating in both Agile and Waterfall environments
