Application Developer / Architect - Insurance | London (Hybrid) | 12 Month Contract

Location: London (Hybrid - 2-3 days onsite)

Contract: 12 months (view to extend)

We're looking for a hands-on Application Developer / Architect with Insurance experience to join a leading Insurance client.

About the Role: In this position, you ll take ownership of designing, developing, and supporting complex insurance applications
. You ll work end-to-end, from gathering requirements and designing architectures to implementation, testing, and ensuring adherence to development, database, and security standards.

• Design and develop complex insurance business applications and supporting systems
• Create, enforce, and maintain application and database standards
• Ensure application security, scalability, interoperability, and quality
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions in collaboration with stakeholders
• Provide guidance, oversight, and support to development teams
• Keep up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices in application design and architecture

• Strong application design and development skills
• Solid database knowledge (SQL / RDBMS / database architecture)
• Familiarity with development standards, coding best practices, and governance
• Experience with application security, QA, and scalability
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Proactive, organised, and comfortable taking ownership of projects
