Infrastructure Specialist

Location: Canary Wharf, London – Initially onsite 5 days per week, then once settled, 3 days onsite and 2 days remote

Duration: 9-month Fixed Term Contract

Language: Fluent English required;
Spanish is highly desirable

We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support a Financial Services environment, focusing on core Windows-based infrastructure platforms. The role involves hands‑on operational support, system administration, and ensuring the stability and security of enterprise infrastructure.

• Strong experience in Windows Server environments (2016, 2019, 2022)
• Experience with virtualised platforms such as VMware and/or Hyper‑V
• Previous experience working within Financial Services (Banking or Insurance)
• Spanish language skills are a strong preference, but not mandatory

• Support and administer Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022)
• Manage Active Directory
  , Group Policy
  , and core Windows services
• Assist with patch management
  , vulnerability remediation
  , and security hardening
• Monitor infrastructure, respond to incidents, and ensure operational stability
• Support virtualised platforms (VMware and/or Hyper‑V)
• Support backup and recovery processes as required

• Minimum 2+ years’ experience in Windows infrastructure or systems administration
• Strong hands‑on experience with Windows Server and Active Directory
• Exposure to patching
  , vulnerability management
  , and monitoring tools
• Mandatory experience working within a Financial Services environment
• Familiarity with virtualisation technologies
• Ability to work onsite in Canary Wharf as required
