Job Description:

To lead, guide and advise on data governance, compliance, and information protection implementation using Microsoft Purview, within the context of Microsoft Fabric and possibly beyond.

Responsibilities:

Design & Implementation: in the context of Microsoft Fabric, lead on the discovery, definition and implementation of Purview functionality, including but not limited to Data Catalogue, Monitoring, Lineage and Data Loss Prevention capabilities.
Data Governance & Compliance:
Define data ownership models, classification schemes, and data lifecycle/records management policies.
Consultative Advice:
Act as the technical lead, advising stakeholders on best practices for data security and regulatory compliance.
Operational Support:
Maintain documentation (LLDs, SOPs), create user guides, and train teams on using the compliance portal.

Skills:

Deep knowledge of Microsoft Purview, M365 security technologies, and data governance frameworks.
Hands-on experience with configuring and administering Microsoft Purview - either in Microsoft Fabric or Enterprise versions.
Strong knowledge of data security concepts - classification, sensitivity labels, DLP, etc
Microsoft certifications such as SC-400 (Information Protection Administrator) or SC-300 would be a bonus
Experience in process design and service transition is desirable
Quick learner to apply new concepts
Ability to work in ambiguous situations
