Position: Data Assistant (Product Team) - 3 month contract
Location: Greater London

We have an excellent opportunity for an Excel and data whizz to support our Product team on a 3-month fixed term contract. This would suit a candidate looking to build experience in a data-focused role.

Essential Experience
  • Demonstrable understanding of data services via a STEM or other numerate degree or with at least a couple of years' experience in market or customer focussed data services
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel and Power Point
Desirable Experience
  • Tableau, Power B or other visualisation tools
  • Visual Basic
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Ability to manipulate, process and extract value from large, disconnected datasets

Team Overview

We have developed a market leading price tracking solution for the insurance sector, collating pricing data for a consistent panel of consumers across the leading price comparison sites. This data underpins a suite of reporting and insight products used by both insurance clients and price comparison partners to understand market behaviour and inform pricing strategy.

What you'll do
  • Review daily, weekly, and monthly reports before distribution to our clients
  • Engage with clients to assist with ad-hoc data requests
  • Support change management processes and task prioritisation
  • Monitor system performance and highlight issues
  • Use available monitoring tools and reporting to identify issue causes
  • Liaise with the development team to aid with reconciliation and troubleshooting
  • Support the design, build and maintenance of reports and dashboards for use by clients, and within the business
  • Test new product developments, including metrics and dashboards
  • Provide input into system and process development to support new sectors
  • Take steps towards continuous improvement in market pricing processes
What you'll need to succeed Essential Requirements
  • Graduate with a STEM or relevant degree OR 2+ years’ relevant industry experience in market or customer focussed data services
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication with a proven ability to quickly build and maintain positive, effective relationships across all levels
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and thrive in a fast-paced team environment
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Power Point
Desirable
  • Tableau / Power BI or other visualisation tools
  • Exposure to Visual Basic
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Ability manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large, disconnected datasets is a plus

Role type & location

This is a 3-month fixed term contract to cover a sabbatical. It is a hybrid position based from our London office so you'll need to be able to work with colleagues in the office each week.
