Power BI Developer​/Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Power BI Consultant to join a project-based engagement within a large, enterprise‑scale data environment. This Inside IR35 contract will suit a consultant who has delivered end‑to‑end BI solutions, worked closely with business stakeholders, and has proven expertise integrating data from complex systems such as SAP.

You will be responsible for designing and delivering high‑quality dashboards, data models, and insights that support internal management, operational reporting, and strategic decision‑making. This role operates on a hybrid basis in Greater London, requiring both on‑site collaboration and remote delivery.

• Power BI Development & Reporting
• Design, build and deploy Power BI dashboards that support management, operational and strategic reporting needs.
• Develop robust data models, DAX calculations, measures, and reusable semantic layers to support scalable reporting.
• Optimise visualisations and data flows to ensure accuracy, performance, and user‑friendly reporting experiences.

• Work closely with internal business teams to translate requirements into functional BI solutions.
• Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and iterative reviews to refine dashboards and ensure business alignment.
• Provide clear recommendations based on data patterns, insights, and analysis.
• Extract, transform and integrate data from SAP environments and other complex enterprise systems.
• Work with data engineers, architects, and integration specialists to ensure accurate and efficient data ingestion.
• Validate and reconcile data across multiple sources to maintain trust and consistency in insights delivered.
• Deliver BI solutions as part of a structured project-based consultancy engagement, working to agreed timelines and milestones.
• Ensure documentation, handover materials, and training guides are produced to support ongoing operational use.
• Manage expectations and communicate progress clearly across technical and non‑technical teams.
• Operate effectively in a hybrid working model—balancing on-site collaboration in Greater London with remote delivery.
• Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure insights lead to tangible business action.

• Proven experience as a Power BI Consultant delivering dashboards and BI solutions in complex organisations.
• Strong capability in:
• Power BI Desktop & Service
• DAX, data modelling, and report optimisation
• Data cleansing, transformation and shaping
• Experience integrating and analysing SAP data and other enterprise‑scale data sources.
• Demonstrable success delivering solutions within Inside IR35 contract engagements.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Experience in large corporate, government, or regulated environments.
• Exposure to SQL, Azure data services, or enterprise ETL/data pipelines.
• Background in consultancy or project‑based BI delivery teams.
