The Systems Administrator will have primary responsibility for administering and supporting IT systems and infrastructure, including Active Directory, user/group management, file/folder security, data archiving, networking, and remote access. This role will involve providing high-quality end-user support, overseeing tools and processes for automating tasks, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues. The Systems Administrator will also work closely with the IT Security team to participate in on-call rotation to ensure the security and integrity of the firm's network and computer systems.

How You'll Help Our Team Succeed:

  • Administers Active Directory user and groups, including creating and provisioning security groups, granting access to network resources, and managing group membership.
  • Administers network directory, file, folder share, and computing device/system access following IT security policies and procedures.
  • Administers and oversees processes that automate Active Directory tasks workflows, including account creation, provisioning, and deprovisioning.
  • Provides end-user support for cloud hosted services, including Azure SSO, MFA, Windows Virtual Desktop, and other enterprise systems.
  • Provides Expert support for network access, file access and all other support needs.
  • Monitors and reports on firmwide network status. The network includes Active Directory, WAN/LAN, internet, File/Print servers, Exchange, and specialized application servers.
  • Troubleshoots hardware, software, printer, and network issues escalated to team from desktop support.
  • Attends interdepartmental meetings providing networking updates and training sessions as needed.
  • Periodically works with the IT Security team to respond to audits, questionnaires and assessments.
  • Establishes and maintains network and system documentation.
  • Preserves confidentiality, integrity, and safeguarding all electronic information.
  • Assists in establishing standards and document these standards.
  • Participates in on-call rotation, responding to network and server outages 24x7.
  • Maintains the security and integrity of Cornerstone’s network and computer systems.


What You'll Need to Be Successful:

  • 5+ years of IT experience in system administration; in a professional services firm preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft’s Active Directory services.
  • Experience with access management and role-based security and using AD groups.
  • Experience with Windows Group Policy Object configuration
  • Basic understanding of networking protocols, DHCP, DNS, and TCP/IP Configuration.
  • Experience working with virtualization technologies, VMWare and Azure Cloud.
  • Experience working with MS Windows and LINUX (a plus)
  • Windows Server Administration, including Performance Monitoring and patch management.
  • Effective communication (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot and solve network and system related issues.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills.
  • Data Center experience required; installing, racking, and cabling enterprise servers and equipment.
