Senior Consultant; Infrastructure​/Virtualisation

We are seeking an experienced and technically skilled Senior Consultant to join a high-performing Consulting Delivery team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and customer-focused professional who enjoys solving complex technical challenges and delivering high-quality infrastructure solutions.

As a Senior Consultant, you will play a key role in the design and delivery of consulting services to customers, working within a specialist practice area. You will collaborate as part of a wider delivery team, taking technical direction from senior resources while also leading small to medium-sized engagements independently when required.

You will be recognised as a technical expert in your field, capable of translating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Your strong problem-solving abilities, organisational skills, and attention to detail will enable you to deliver robust and well-designed infrastructure solutions.

In addition to your technical capabilities, you will demonstrate excellent customer relationship skills, building trust and credibility with stakeholders. You will be comfortable working autonomously as well as within larger project teams. A key part of the role will also involve mentoring junior team members and contributing to the ongoing development of the Consulting function.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality consulting services to customers
• Provide technical design and implementation of infrastructure solutions
• Lead small to medium-sized engagements where required
• Work collaboratively within project teams and independently when necessary
• Mentor and support junior consultants
• Manage workloads effectively to meet project and customer deadlines
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships
• 3 to 5 years’ experience in a Consulting environment, designing and delivering customer solutions
• 3+ years’ experience in VMware solution design and deployment
• 2+ years’ experience working with key virtualisation technologies
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and proactive approach to problem-solving
• Proven ability to deliver successful customer projects

Technical Skills Required:

• VMware vSphere & vCenter
• VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF)
• VMware NSX-T
• VMware Aria
• VMware VCD
• Windows and Linux Operating Systems
• Other virtualisation platforms, including Linux-based solutions
• Orchestration and Automation tools

Certifications:

• Current and relevant VMware certifications such as VCP or VCAP are required
• Additional recognition such as vExpert status or active participation in VMUG is advantageous
