About the Role
An established UK financial services organisation is seeking a Director of Data & Analytics to define and lead its group wide data strategy. This senior leadership role will shape a modern data architecture, build a high?performing data function, and drive the adoption of advanced analytics and AI across the business.
You will lead a large disparate team covering data engineering, analytics, and data science, and will play a pivotal role in embedding data literacy, strengthening governance, and enabling insight driven decision making.
Key Responsibilities
Set and deliver the organisation's end to end data strategy
Lead the design of modern cloud based data platforms and scalable architecture
Partner with business and technology leaders to drive strategic insight initiatives
Build, mentor, and develop a high performing multidisciplinary data team
Champion enterprise wide data adoption and literacy
Strengthen data governance, quality, and lifecycle management
Ensure resilient, well operated data services with strong controls and monitoring
About You
Proven leadership experience across data engineering, analytics and/or data science
Background in financial services or other regulated environments
Strategic thinker with experience delivering enterprise grade data frameworks
Strong communicator able to influence across senior stakeholders
Experienced in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and modern data tooling
Skilled in coaching and developing diverse technical teams
Adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable driving change
