The organisation is seeking an experienced SAP S/4

HANA FICO Functional Analyst to support ongoing enhancements, change delivery, and upgrade activities within its SAP environment.

This role will collaborate closely with functional leads across FICO, SCM, PM, SAP Operations and business stakeholders to design, implement, test, and deliver solutions across the SAP landscape.

Key focus areas include the SAP S/4 upgrade to the 2025 stack, enhancements to Joint Venture Accounting (JVA), and extending process automation using SAP‑native and non‑native tools.

The role also provides day‑to‑day functional support, diagnostics, and training to business users.

• Work with the FICO Lead to prepare functional specifications for custom developments, integrations, and reporting.
• Document business requirements across Finance, Controlling and associated functions.
• Configure SAP FI (GL, AP, AR, AA, Bank Accounting) and CO (CCA, PCA, Internal Orders, basic Product Costing).
• Collaborate with ABAP developers and integration teams to deliver complete end‑to‑end solutions.
• Conduct unit testing, integration testing and support wider testing cycles.

• Assess upgrade impacts on configuration, custom code, integrations, and business processes.
• Remediate configuration changes and coordinate technical fixes.
• Develop and execute regression testing aligned to business processes.
• Coordinate and facilitate UAT sessions.
• Triage defects, manage resolution with technical teams, and oversee retesting.
• Document testing outcomes and secure stakeholder sign‑off.
• Update process documentation, training materials and operational guides.
• Support the introduction of automated testing frameworks.
• Assist with SAP role redesign, validation, and UAT activities.
• Provide second/third‑line support across all FICO‑related incidents and queries.
• Identify opportunities to enhance system performance and streamline business processes.
• Maintain awareness of SAP best practices, S/4
  
  HANA roadmap updates and relevant SAP Notes.

• 5+ years SAP FICO configuration experience across multiple project lifecycle phases.
• Strong understanding of end‑to‑end finance processes and integration points with MM, SD, PS, and HCM.
• Experience supporting at least one major SAP S/4
  
  HANA upgrade.
• Proven experience coordinating or leading UAT activities.

• Deep expertise in FI (GL, AP, AR, AA, Bank Accounting) and CO (CCA, PCA, Internal Orders, Product Costing basics).
• Familiarity with IDoc, BAPI, BDC, and middleware platforms.
• Ability to review/debug ABAP code for issue diagnosis.
• Experience using SAP Fiori apps and SAP GUI.

• Strong communicator who can translate between business and technical stakeholders.
• Structured, methodical approach to documentation and testing.
• Ability to prioritise effectively in fast‑paced environments.
• Collaborative and proactive mindset.

• SAP FI or CO certification.
• Experience with Sales & Distribution.
• Joint Venture Accounting experience.
• Exposure to S/4
  
  HANA Finance (Universal Journal, Central Finance).
• Experience with SAP Cloud ALM.
• Understanding of adjacent modules such as Treasury, Real Estate, or Grants Management.
• Experience with both Waterfall and Agile delivery methodologies.
