Role Description

The Solution Consultant role is a key role within the Solution Consulting team, and will provide leadership and expertise in the following areas:

  • Providing up‑to‑date knowledge, awareness of current trends and future direction of the local asset‑management industry

Team Responsibilities

The Solution Consulting team is responsible for providing a range of high‑value services to FNZ’s existing and potential customers. This includes delivering the FNZ Model Wealth Solution configuration process for new platform implementations, and supporting the sales team in winning and sizing new projects.

The team also performs consulting assignments for existing and new customers, covering proposition definition, target operating model definition, business transformation, customer training, knowledge transfer, and bespoke requirement definition for customer platform solutions.

Once business outcomes are understood from FNZ clients, they are documented and fed into the delivery process to ensure they are precise and enable the right outcomes.

The team works closely with FNZ’s Business Readiness Team, Operations and Production Support Teams to ensure services are delivered compliantly, reliably and at scale once in production.

Specific Role Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and support for aligned FNZ client projects, building capability and supporting junior team members
  • Work with FNZ customers and internal stakeholders to define proposition and product requirements, and provide market expertise as required
  • Act as an SME in FNZ Platform functionality, advising on best practice operating‑model design
  • Run the MWS configuration process for new platform implementations, capturing all customer configuration points in documentation
  • Document bespoke customer requirements and ensure these are met as the solution owner
  • Provide review and quality assurance of solution documentation
  • Deliver training programmes and knowledge transfer services for FNZ customers
  • Offer consultancy services to other FNZ clients and projects as needed
  • Have good knowledge of the regulatory environment and provide advice and guidance to customers in delivering a compliant platform
  • Serve as an SME in the platform market, training and supporting other areas of the FNZ business
Preferred Industry Knowledge
  • Experience in a consulting, analysis or architecture environment
  • General investment/wealth/life and/or pensions product knowledge and market understanding relevant to FNZ and its customers
  • FNZ Platform expertise, including being an SME in at least four functional areas
  • For the jurisdiction being hired for, understanding of the regulatory environment and knowledge of upcoming changes
  • At least 3 years of experience in a delivery/consulting environment in the financial services/wealth market
Required Knowledge & Skills
  • 1st class degree or equivalent experience
  • Experience in a business analysis or consulting role
