Your role and responsibilities Overview

At IBM Consulting, we work with clients across every industry to transform how they operate using technology, data, and human‑centred design. As a graduate, you’ll join a collaborative, supportive team focused on learning, innovation, and solving real client problems.

The Role

As an Associate SAP Consultant, you’ll help clients design, implement, and improve enterprise systems that run their core business operations. You’ll work with SAP as well as other leading packaged solutions, learning how to configure applications, analyse business processes, and translate client needs into practical, technology‑enabled solutions.

This is a great role for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, working with data and systems, and understanding how technology supports business operations.

What You’ll Do
  • Assist with the design, configuration, and implementation of SAP solutions
  • Support workshops, stakeholder interviews, and process mapping activities
  • Analyse client processes to define current‑state and future‑state workflows
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications
  • Help integrate applications into clients’ environments using best‑practice methods
  • Work across consulting, design, and technical teams to deliver solutions
  • Prepare clear documentation, presentations, and client‑ready outputs
  • Apply IBM Design Thinking to help clients solve complex challenges
  • Support testing, quality checks, and user training activities
  • Build SAP expertise through structured learning and hands‑on project work

Required technical and professional expertise
  • Willingness to travel as required

Preferred technical and professional experience
  • A final‑year student or recent graduate in a STEM, Business, Computing, Engineering, Information Systems, or analytical degree (others considered with strong technical interest)
  • Analytical, logical, and curious about how technology transforms business processes
  • Comfortable working with data, systems, and structured problem‑solving
  • Strong communicator who can explain ideas clearly to different audiences
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and motivated to learn new tools and technologies
  • Interested in SAP, ERP systems, or enterprise technology platforms
  • Proactive, resilient, and eager to develop new skills through continuous learning
