About Pearson

Pearson is an ed tech company whose mission is to have a direct relationship with millions of lifelong learners. As the world’s learning company with more than 18,000 employees operating in 70 countries, we provide content, assessment, and digital services to learners, educational institutions, employers, governments and other partners globally. We are committed to helping equip learners with the skills they need to enhance their world of opportunities.

We believe that wherever learning flourishes so do people.

The Role

We embrace an SVPG-inspired Product Operating Model, empowering our product teams to solve hard problems – customer problems and business problems – in ways that our customers love, yet work for our business. Product companies depend on strong products, and strong products come from firm foundation of practices, tools and a supporting culture. We are seeking a Senior Product Operations Analyst to help us build and scale this foundation.

You will enable our product teams to work more effectively through tooling excellence and innovation, improvement through data, clear processes and capability building. You will bring order to complexity – defining standards, helping teams adapt, helping configure systems, building metrics and dashboards, and delivering training that drives consistent, effective practice across a large product organisation.

This is not simply a tools administration role. You must understand product management best practices deeply enough to design workflows, metrics, and dashboards that support good PM discipline, user centricity and help teams see where they can improve. You will develop metrics that gives product teams and leadership visibility into how work flows, where bottlenecks exist, and what good looks like.

We are looking for someone who is passionate about Product, fixing broken processes, bringing structure to ambiguity, and organising effectively. You find genuine satisfaction in taking something messy and making it work well. You are highly organised, systematic in your thinking, and energized by enabling others' success.

What You'll Own Tooling Standardisation & Training
  • Drive the ongoing governance, monitoring, and enforcement of Jira and Jira Product Discovery standards, ensuring consistent usage, driving adoption, and incorporating learnings to continuously improve configuration and practices.
  • Design and deliver training programmes on product tools and workflows; create materials that enable self‑service learning.
  • Administer and support product analytics and engineering metrics tools (e.g., Mixpanel, SEI, Jellyfish).
  • Evaluate emerging tools and recommend additions or changes to the product toolchain.
Metrics & Dashboards
  • Develop metrics and dashboards that give product teams and leadership visibility into workflow health, delivery performance, and improvement opportunities.
  • Define and instrument leading indicators that help teams identify issues early and track progress.
  • Ensure data quality and consistency across product management systems.
AI & Automation
  • Identify opportunities for automation in product workflows; build and maintain automation flows using Jira automation, integration platforms, and AI tools.
  • Stay current on emerging productivity and AI tools; pilot innovations and scale what works.
  • Share automation best practices across the product community.
Process & Documentation
  • Document and maintain product operating standards, playbooks, and process guides.
  • Create templates and frameworks that drive consistency while remaining practical.
  • Identify and fix process friction; continuously refine based on feedback and evidence.
Communication & Community
  • Draft and distribute communications to the PM community – announcements, updates, and guidance.
  • Support Product Management Community of Practice logistics and content.
  • Collect and synthesize feedback; report on tool adoption, training effectiveness, and operational health.
About You
  • 4‑6 years of experience in product…
