We are looking for an IT Support Apprentice to join our Global IT function. You will learn how we provide IT Support locally to our office in London Dorset Square and remotely to our global offices. You will be part of the Global Support Team and have regular communication with other team members around the world.
You will learn how to manage diverse support requests from investment professionals, operational teams, and software developers, offering practical solutions that are highly tailored to the needs of Orbis. You will be empowered to use automation for repetitive tasks and processes to help us focus on continual improvement.
You don’t need experience in all the technologies listed below; a genuine enthusiasm, passion for IT and a desire to learn are more important to the role.## ##

** Technologies you’ll learn / work with**## You’ll get hands-on experience supporting a modern workplace environment, including areas such as:
* End-user computing:
Windows 10/11, laptop builds, upgrades and deployments
* Collaboration & productivity:
Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, One Drive, SharePoint)
* Identity & access: account provisioning/deprovisioning, group access, multi-factor authentication (MFA)
* Device management: device enrolment and troubleshooting (e.g., Intune)
* Support tooling: ticketing systems, remote support tools, and knowledge base documentation
* Networking fundamentals:
Wi-Fi connectivity, VPN access, DNS/IP basics for troubleshooting
* Security basics: endpoint protection/anti-malware, patching awareness, secure handling of data
* Automation exposure: using scripting/automation for repetitive tasks (e.g., Power Shell or similar)## ##
** What will your responsibilities
*** Logging and responding to support requests in the ticketing system
* Speaking to colleagues to troubleshoot incidents and get to the root of the problem
* Upgrades and deployments of laptop computers
* Configuring, implementing and supporting end-user devices (e.g. phones)
* Setting up new starters and disabling access when people leave
* Maintaining technical documentation and knowledgebase
* Asking for help or escalating support requests as required
* Ad-hoc projects as assigned by the Support Manager##
