Director of Product

We are looking for a Director of Product to lead Product across Marketplace, Payments, and SaaS atwell's ambition is to build the most effective product ecosystem for salons in Europe, combining a leading consumer marketplace with SaaS and Payments products that allow salons to successfully run, grow, and monetise their businesses across 14 European markets.

In this role, you are accountable for turning that ambition into impact. You lead and align multiple product domains through Heads of Product, translating company strategy into clear product direction, focused priorities, and measurable outcomes that create momentum throughout the year.

You set a high bar for speed, clarity, and ownership. You remove friction that slows teams down, keep decisions close to the work, and enable teams to learn faster by shipping earlier. You grow strong product leaders, reinforce teams‑first thinking, and continuously raise expectations for how Treatwell discovers, delivers, and scales products as a product‑led organization.

This role reports to the Chief Technology Officer, who is accountable for both Product, Design and Engineering. The Director of Product owns Product direction and outcomes across Marketplace, Payments, and SaaS.

Responsibilities
  • Direction, ambition, and impact

Own product direction across domains and tie it directly to company objectives. Drive early, visible impact by helping teams shorten feedback loops, make timely decisions, and build momentum across the year. Hold a high bar for quality, reliability, and ownership as foundations for sustained delivery.

  • Customer and partner value

Keep real customer and venue problems at the centre of priorities and decisions. Strengthen discovery, validation, and outcome measurement so teams consistently focus on solving the right problems and learning early.

  • Product strategy and roadmap

Shape and evolve the product roadmap using clear Now / Next / Later thinking and progress to share this publicly with customers and venues. Balance near‑term delivery with longer‑term bets, manage cross‑domain dependencies, align other departments actively and support clear trade‑offs so teams stay focused on what matters now.

  • Teams first

Create the conditions for strong, stable product teams with clear ownership and manageable scope. Reinforce setups that reduce unnecessary dependencies and allow teams to plan, deliver, and communicate progress transparently. Hold leaders accountable for improving team effectiveness and outcomes over time.

  • Develop product leadership at scale

Coach and grow Heads of Product and senior product managers as leaders of leaders. Set clear expectations for product leadership, own succession planning and hiring standards, and turn performance feedback into concrete growth actions.

  • Fast decision‑making with ownership

Enable teams and domain leaders to make decisions quickly within clear guardrails. Use escalation as a supportive tool when needed to build confidence, remove hesitation, resolve cross‑domain trade‑offs and protect momentum. Encourage ownership of outcomes, course correction, and learning when decisions do not land as expected.

  • Lead product through shared progress

Set expectations for sharing progress through demos and open discussion rather than polished reporting. Encourage collaboration between the people doing the work, support teams in owning their domains and planning, and bring commercial and marketing expertise closer when it helps teams make better decisions and move faster together.

Qualifications
  • You are a senior product leader with experience leading leaders across multiple product domains.
  • You operate comfortably at portfolio level, balancing strategy, execution, and people leadership.
  • You value speed, clarity, and ownership, and know how to remove organisational friction.
  • You have built strong product teams in distributed, international environments.
  • You use data, customer insight, and product judgment to make trade‑offs and guide direction.
  • You care about sustainable delivery, team health, and long‑term impact.
  • You enjoy developing leaders and seeing teams succeed beyond your direct involvement.
