Role Overview

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior SAP Business Process Automation (BPA) Consultant to lead a large-scale automation modernization initiative using SAP Build Process Automation on SAP S/4

HANA.

The consultant will be responsible for replacing our existing automation landscape—primarily bots built using RPA Automation Anywhere and SAP GUI scripts—with SAP-native BPA solutions.

1.SAP BPA Delivery

Lead the end-to-end build of automation workflows using SAP Build Process Automation, including:

Workflow automation

Business rules

Process visibility

Rebuild legacy RPA Anywhere automations using SAP-native BPA components.

2.Technical Analysis & Migration

Review existing automation backlog and assess feasibility for SAP BPA conversion.

Redesign end-to-end processes with reusable, maintainable automation components.

Implement event-driven workflows integrated with S/4

HANA processes.

3.Cross-SAP Integration

Integrate BPA solutions with SAP S/4

HANA using:

OData services

REST/SOAP APIs

RFC/BAPI interfaces

4.Low-Code/Pro-Code Development

Develop UI extensions, mobile apps, or form-based applications using SAP Build Apps (low-code / pro-code).

Build custom automation logic using ABAP, JavaScript, Java, or Python where needed.

Required Skills & Experience

Total SAP experience in ABAP – 10 + years and targeted experience around SAP BPA & BTP Expertise

2–3+ years hands-on experience with:

SAP Build Process Automation

SAP Workflow Management

SAP Business Rules

SAP Process Visibility dashboards

2.Programming Skills

Strong practical experience in:

ABAP (preferably with S/4

HANA)

Java

Python

JavaScript (for BPA scripting and SAP Build Apps)

3.SAP Build Apps

Experience building low-code/high-code applications using SAP Build Apps, including:

Data modelling

UI design

Integrations with SAP BTP services

4.SAP Integration Technologies

Practical hands-on experience with:

OData service creation/consumption

REST and SOAP-based service integration

RFC/BAPI integration patterns

* API Hub / Event Mesh exposure is a plus
