The team you'll be working with:
The Social Value Manager is responsible for developing, embedding and managing the social value strategy for NTTDATA UK&I’s Public Sector Business. The role ensures that our public sector engagements deliver measurable, reportable social, economic and environmental benefits consistent with NTTDATA’s global sustainability commitments and aligned with the UK Government’s updated Social Value Model (PPN
002), including its new ‘missions’‑based framework. The role supports business development, bid activity, contract delivery and impact measurement, ensuring social value is fully integrated from opportunity to outcome.
Strategic Planning & Integration
- Define and maintain the social value strategy for the Public Sector, aligned to NTTDATA’s ESG & Purpose frameworks, and to the UK Government’s missions under PPN
002. - Advise account teams, delivery teams and leadership on embedding social value in bids and delivery to meet government missions and outcomes.
- Act as the subject‑matter expert for social value in the division, maintaining awareness of evolving frameworks and best practices.
- Lead the social value response for public sector tenders, selecting outcomes from the PPN
002 model relevant to each contract. - Collaborate with bid managers and partners to design measurable, evidence‑based commitments aligned to the model’s missions.
- Maintain a repository of case studies, metrics, and best practices for reuse across bids and clients.
- Oversee and ensure delivery of social value commitments across live client engagements.
- Develop tools and processes for monitoring and reporting outcomes aligned with the PPN
002 framework. - Produce regular internal and client reports demonstrating quantitative and qualitative impact.
- Build and sustain relationships with clients, public bodies, and partners to co‑design initiatives.
- Represent NTTDATA UK&I in social value and sustainability forums.
- Deliver internal training on PPN
002 and related commercial and delivery practices.
Essential:
- 3–5 years' experience in social value, sustainability or ESG roles within consulting, digital or technology sectors.
- Understanding of UK public procurement frameworks, including PPN
002. - Experience developing social value bid responses and managing post‑award delivery.
- Strong stakeholder management, analytical and reporting skills.
- Ability to align commitments with missions and metrics under PPN
002.
- Degree or postgraduate qualification in Sustainability, Business or Social Policy.
- Membership of IEMA, ICRS or similar bodies.
- Experience with digital transformation projects.
- Familiarity with National TOMs, Social Value Portal or equivalent.
- Knowledge of UK Government missions (economic growth, clean energy, opportunity, public services, community safety).
