AI Consultant - Private Equity

AI may be the “forever buzzword” - but in private equity, it’s quickly becoming a real operational lever. PE firms are investing heavily in automation to drive efficiency and sharper decision‑making across their platforms.

This particular firm is smaller, entrepreneurial, and ambitious, with long‑term plans to scale intelligently. They see AI as core to that evolution, not a side project. With a lean team and flat structure, the right hire will have genuine autonomy and visibility from day one.

Reporting directly to the CTO, you will move across front, middle, and back office teams (Investment, IR, Finance, Operations, Compliance) to:

• Identify and prioritise AI‑driven automation opportunities
• Map workflows and improve process efficiency
• Assess and recommend practical AI tools and vendors
• Run pilots and drive firm‑wide adoption
• Establish AI best practices and governance
• Upskill teams on effective and responsible AI usage

This is not a build‑from‑scratch engineering role, but strong technical literacy and a clear understanding of AI capabilities and limitations are essential.

• Experience in AI strategy, consulting, or operational transformation
• Strong understanding of LLMs, automation tools, and workflow AI
• Comfortable engaging senior investment and finance stakeholders
• Able to translate technical capability into practical business outcomes
