Solution Architect

Robert Half Technology are assisting a market leading consultancy to recruit a Solution Architect on an initial 6 month contract basis. Fully remote - UK based

We are seeking a Technical Solution Architect with strong SAP ERP expertise and proven experience operating within Private Equity-backed businesses, particularly through carve-outs, integrations, and M&A-driven transformation.

This is a hands-on, delivery-focused role, responsible for designing and implementing pragmatic, scalable solutions that enable business continuity and growth during high-change environments. You will work closely with IT, finance, operations, and external partners to deliver robust technical solutions - particularly across SAP ERP and integrated systems.

Role

Solution Design & Delivery

• Own end-to-end technical solution design across SAP ERP and integrated systems.
• Produce high-quality solution designs, integration specifications, and technical documentation.
• Work closely with development, infrastructure, and third-party partners to ensure successful implementation.
• Remain hands-on in configuration oversight, integration design, and technical troubleshooting.
• Ensure solutions are secure, scalable, and aligned to business requirements

SAP ERP Expertise

• Act as the technical lead for SAP (ECC and/or S/4
  
  HANA) solutions.
• Design SAP-centric solutions across finance, supply chain, manufacturing, or operations.
• Lead data migration, integration design, and system optimisation initiatives.
• Support SAP transformations, upgrades, and post-acquisition system harmonisation.

• Deliver technical work streams during carve-outs and integrations.
• Support ERP separation activities and TSA exit plans.
• Lead system integration between acquired entities and core platforms.
• Perform technical assessments of newly acquired environments.
• Operate effectively in fast-paced, cost-conscious PE-backed settings.

• Partner with Finance, Operations, and Transformation teams to deliver business-aligned solutions.
• Communicate solution options, trade-offs, and risks clearly.
• Manage third-party system integrators and SAP partners.
• Support due diligence activities with practical technical insight.

Profile

• 7+ years in solution architecture or senior technical delivery roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with SAP ERP (ECC and/or S/4
  
  HANA).
• Proven experience in Private Equity-backed companies.
• Direct involvement in M&A integrations, carve-outs, or divestitures.
• Experience delivering ERP separation or consolidation projects.
• Strong integration experience (APIs, middleware, finance system integrations).
• Experience working with cloud infrastructure (Azure/AWS preferred).
