Project: Analytics tooling for gas trading desk

Contract: 6 months initial (multiyear scope)

X4 Technology are partnered with a leading energy trading firm offering the opportunity for a Contract Project Manager to drive the development and delivery of a suite of analytical tools used by their European Gas Trading Desk.

These solutions include visualisation dashboards for trading books and positions, intraday trading tools, gas storage management systems, digital trading workflows and gas analytics platforms - all delivering real-time insights that enable traders to access timely, high-quality data and make faster, more informed trading decisions.

This role involves leading the delivery of analytics tooling for the gas trading desk, coordinating cross-functional teams, and ensuring on-time, high-quality delivery of analytics platforms and dashboards that support trading decisions.

• Proven track record delivering complex technology and data projects within trading, managing the full project lifecycle from planning through to delivery, governance and risk management.
• Strong experience within energy or commodities trading (gas preferred), delivering platforms such as visualisation dashboards, intraday trading tools, pricing platforms and data-driven trading applications.
• Excellent stakeholder management, working closely with traders, quants, analysts, product owners and engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions.
• Experience operating in Agile or hybrid delivery environments, coordinating cross-functional teams across product, data and engineering functions to drive successful delivery.

This is a 6 month initial contract but with multiyear scope offering a day rate of £800-950/d inside IR35. Interviews are being lined up for week commencing 16th March.
