Role Summary and Impact

As a Manager on the Open UK Mobilization Team, you will be the hands‑on specialist responsible for the successful execution of WPP Open deployments. You are the engine of the team, deployed onto client projects to manage the day‑to‑day process of analyzing their current state and enabling our technology to improve it. Your role is to immerse yourself in a client's business, understand their unique challenges, and configure our platform to meet their needs.

You will be responsible for running discovery workshops, documenting processes, performing gap analyses on team skillsets, and managing the technical setup of WPP Open. A key part of your role is "Delivering Change" by providing client‑specific training, creating clear documentation, and ensuring that by the end of a deployment, the client team is fully capable, confident, and self‑sufficient in using the platform.

The

Mobilization Process

As the hands‑on executor of a client deployment, you will be responsible for carrying out the detailed tasks within our 5‑stage mobilization process. You will execute:

  • Understanding Current State: Documenting the client's use of agents, products (OMS), workflows, and data.
  • Project Initiation: Supporting the "Gap Analysis" by assessing team skillsets and identifying specific user "Pain Points."
  • Designing Success: Conducting the detailed "Process & Tool Use Mapping," highlighting data requirements, and documenting best practices.
  • Delivering Change: Managing the setup of WPP Open templates, configuring apps in the client instance, and delivering specific training modules to users.
  • Transition to BAU: Supporting the handover by capturing new requirements for the Open product teams and ensuring client team ownership is clear.
Skills and Experience
  • Experience in a hands‑on role within a media agency, ad‑tech company, or in a marketing operations function.
  • Direct, practical experience with the setup, optimization, or day‑to‑day use of marketing technology platforms (e.g., planning tools, campaign management systems, analytics dashboards).
  • Experience in facilitating workshops, gathering user requirements, and documenting business processes.
  • A track record of training others on technology or processes and creating clear supporting documentation (e.g., "how‑to" guides, best practice checklists).
Key Skills
  • Hands‑on Technology Specialist: A genuine enthusiasm for marketing technology and a deep curiosity for how it works and how it can be improved.
  • Detail‑Oriented Executor: A structured and methodical approach to your work, with a talent for process mapping and creating clear, easy‑to‑understand documentation.
  • Clear Communicator & Trainer: The ability to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical audiences in a simple and engaging way.
  • Collaborative Problem‑Solver: A client‑focused mindset with a passion for helping teams work more effectively and a proven ability to work as part of a specialist team.
