Job Description & How to Apply Below
Location: Greater London

A purpose-led, multidisciplinary design agency is seeking an Accessibility and Inclusive Design Specialist to join the team. With a focus on the built environment, this agency works on projects spanning human factors, service design, and way finding, with inclusive design practices integrated across these functions. This is a great role for an accessibility expert who can utilise strong technical knowledge of accessible legislation and guidance to consult, advise, and influence projects for clients globally.

What you’ll be doing

As Senior Accessible Design Consultant, you’ll join an established team of accessibility specialists leading and supporting access and inclusion projects across the physical built environment. You’ll advise clients through key design stages, including RIBA stages, and audit buildings, products and policies.

Through workshops, testing, and trials, you will define user requirements, particularly for people covered by protected characteristics under the Equality Act 2010. Strong experience and understanding of accessibility will ensure lived experience meaningfully informs all design decisions.

As a senior consultant, you will create inclusive design guidance and deliver training sessions. Alongside project delivery, you’ll manage small to medium programmes, support bids and proposals, and help grow client relationships. Promoting inclusion internally is just as important as external work, and your voice will help shape best practice across teams.

What experience you’ll need to apply
  • Experience working in accessibility or inclusive design.
  • Strong technical knowledge of access and inclusion legislation and guidance, and how to apply it in the built environment.
  • Ability to challenge and discuss physical accessibility decisions with confidence.
  • Understanding of the Social Model of Disability and user‑centred, inclusive approaches.
  • Experience consulting with or engaging users, including those with lived experience.
  • Good client‑facing and project management skills.
  • Commercial awareness, including experience supporting or writing bids and proposals.
  • NRAC, IAAP or similar qualifications are desirable, or a clear commitment to working towards them.
  • Knowledge of digital accessibility principles is beneficial, though this is primarily a built environment role.
What you’ll get in return for your experience

This role joins a purpose-driven team with a positive, inclusive culture. They offer flexible and hybrid working from a central London office, and benefits including private healthcare, profit‑sharing bonus and 25 days’ holiday, rising to 30 with service.
