Overview

The AI Accelerator is a brand-new London-based hub within @computational innovation, comprising computational biology, human genetics, data and AI expertise.

The purpose of the AI Accelerator is to provision production-quality, versatile, foundational biomedical AI capabilities that can be adapted and deployed to improve and accelerate portfolio decision‑making, furthering understanding of the biology driving patient outcomes and identifying mechanisms that increase probability of success.

• AI Systems – neural methods integrating data, imputing and inferring across the biomedical landscape (e.g., electronic health records, medical imaging, omics data)
• AI Reasoning – causality and explainability, predicting intervention outcomes and providing rationale for model decisions (e.g., causal structure for multi‑omics, orthogonal rationale for black‑box models, feature importance)
• AI Enablement – provisioning harmonised multimodal data, managing model lifecycle, partnering with IT to supply infrastructure and tooling for prototyping, implementation, adaptation and deployment of AI capabilities to advance the portfolio.

We are looking for AI scientists, machine learning engineers, research engineers, data engineers, MLOps engineers and AI infrastructure engineers from senior to senior staff level, as well as people leaders in AI science and engineering.
