This role involves a mix of technical remediation on an existing C++ codebase and long-term production support across internal GS platforms and tools. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a high-ownership environment, supporting critical systems, resolving technical issues, and contributing to platform stability and modernization efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform technical remediation and vulnerability fixes within a legacy C++ codebase
  • Debug, analyze, and enhance mature platform components to improve stability and performance
  • Resolve technical debt items in collaboration with internal engineering teams
  • Provide day-to-day production support for the Treasury/LPS platform
  • Execute operational runbooks, including onboarding activities and database-related updates
  • Monitor platform health, investigate incidents, and support issue resolution
  • Assist in improving and scaling the existing support model across teams
  • Integrate platform workflows with internal scheduling and monitoring tools
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support operational and technical requirements
  • Learn and support internal Goldman Sachs platforms such as SecDB and Slang
Required Skills & Experience

  • Experience working in production support or application support environments
  • Good understanding of Unix/Linux systems, preferably with Solaris exposure
  • Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues independently
  • Experience supporting business-critical or enterprise applications
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working with legacy systems and large codebases
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment
  • Good communication and collaboration skills
  • Willingness to learn internal tools and technologies
Preferred Skills
  • Exposure to financial services, treasury, or trading platforms
  • Experience with legacy system modernization or technical remediation projects
  • Familiarity with scripting, automation, or query-based systems
  • Understanding of monitoring tools, operational processes, and incident management
  • Experience working in investment banking or enterprise support environments
