Director Data & AI Product Management

Overview

We’ve partnered with a major global pharmaceutical organisation undergoing a large-scale digital and AI transformation across their manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and network strategy functions. They are now hiring a Director of Data & AI Product Management to lead a critical product domain that sits at the heart of how medicines are manufactured, distributed, and delivered worldwide. This is a strategic, high-impact leadership role ideal for someone who sits comfortably at the intersection of product, science, engineering, AI, and supply chain.

• Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for data, analytics, and AI products across supply chain and network strategy.
• Translate business needs from manufacturing, supply chain, engineering, and quality into actionable product requirements.
• Lead products from concept to prototype to production, ensuring scalability, performance, and regulatory alignment.
• Establish agile, Data Ops, and MLOps practices to accelerate deployment of analytics and AI solutions.
• Guide the integration of operational data across ecosystems (MES, LIMS, ERP, QMS, plant-level data, SCADA, IoT, cloud).
• Track and measure business value, adoption, efficiency, and product KPIs across the portfolio.
• Partner with senior leaders to align data product strategy to global transformation initiatives.
• Manage and coach teams across product, engineering, data science, and platform groups.

• Proven track record managing data, AI, or analytics product portfolios end‑to‑end.
• Deep domain expertise in global pharma, biopharma, or large-scale manufacturing/supply chain.
• Strong technical fluency: data engineering & pipelines, cloud platforms, data science & AI/ML product delivery, MLOps / Data Ops principles.
• Skilled at influencing product direction across cross‑functional, multi-region teams.
• A strategic thinker capable of shaping long-term transformation while executing fast.
• Comfortable in complex, regulated, GMP-heavy environments.
• Experience delivering solutions that optimise manufacturing performance, supply chain planning, network strategy, quality workflows, data governance & AI compliance.

This leader will shape how data and AI power real-world pharma operations – from recipe consistency and batch performance to global supply chain resilience. You’ll be driving initiatives that directly impact manufacturing reliability, productivity, compliance, global patient supply, and sustainable operations. This is one of the most forward-facing product leadership roles available in the industry.
