We’re looking for a Delivery Manager to lead delivery across a group of multidisciplinary squads within Times Media Technology. This is a senior role responsible for improving how teams plan, organise, and execute work across multiple product goals.
The role is focused on building team capability, improving delivery flow, removing impediments, and helping squads become more self‑organising and effective. A strong Delivery Manager will combine delivery execution, operational judgement, cross‑functional influence, and practical use of AI, automation, and modern tooling to reduce manual effort and improve delivery efficiency.
Day to day you will- Support delivery across multiple multidisciplinary squads, helping teams organise and execute work against agreed priorities.
- Independently build new workflows and automations to reduce friction in delivery processes to enable teams to self‑serve and be self‑organised.
- Empower teams to take stronger ownership of their day‑to‑day coordination and organisation.
- Reduce manual reporting and simplify workflows by utilising data, AI, and modern automation tools (inc. making use of available APIs and workflow tools).
- Be proactive in resolving bottlenecks, risks, and impediments by working with wider teams and leadership.
- Promote lean, effective ways of working that reduce bureaucracy and reinforce team accountability.
- Experience supporting delivery across software teams within a fast‑paced product and technology environment.
- Hands‑on, practical experience of working with delivery tools, APIs, MCPs, etc. to build tooling integrations, workflow automation and AI‑enabled reporting.
- Practical knowledge of modern software delivery practices, such as iterative development and release management.
- Experience using delivery data and automation tools to improve team efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Sound organisational judgement, with the ability to support teams without introducing unnecessary processes.
- A pragmatic, outcome‑focused approach that helps squads become more effective and self‑sustaining.
- Experience working with third‑party vendors or external dependencies.
- Familiarity with media and publishing.
- Experience working with globally distributed teams.
