Our client is looking for an Infrastructure Engineer to maintain and improve a reliable, secure IT environment within an SME. You will ensure core systems and user services run effectively across on-premise and Microsoft 365. This role is focused on hands‑on delivery, stability, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities- Own and maintain core infrastructure, ensuring performance, uptime, and security
- Deliver hands‑on user and endpoint support, including walk‑up issues
- Administer Microsoft 365 services including Entra, Defender, Intune, and Exchange Online
- Contribute to infrastructure projects with minimal disruption to live services
- Apply and improve security controls, monitoring threats and responding where needed
- Experience in IT infrastructure within an SME environment
- Comfortable in a user‑facing role with competing priorities
- Good understanding of IT security principles and risks
- Experience across both on‑premise and cloud environments
