Senior DevOps Engineer

We’re hiring a Senior Dev Ops Engineer to join a globally established fintech engineering organisation delivering mission-critical enterprise data platforms for the financial services industry
.

This is a hands-on engineering role (not managerial) where you’ll take full ownership of designing, building, and operating modern cloud-native platforms that sit at the core of global financial data operations.

The business specialises in high-volume data automation, reconciliation, regulatory reporting, and enterprise data integrity
, supporting some of the largest banks and investment firms in the world. Their platforms process and validate vast amounts of financial data daily, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational resilience at scale.

• Design and operate microservices-based platforms on AWS or Azure using Kubernetes (EKS/AKS)
• Build Infrastructure-as-Code solutions using Terraform
• Automate CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
• Implement Git Ops practices using tools like Argo CD or Flux
• Lead technical delivery for enterprise customer projects from design through to production go-live
• Deliver cloud migrations and platform modernisation programmes
• Build resilient, observable, and scalable production systems
• Produce high-quality technical documentation and reusable deployment patterns

• Strong hands-on Kubernetes experience (EKS or AKS)
• Solid AWS or Azure cloud engineering background
• CI/CD pipeline design and automation
• Proven experience delivering production-grade systems or migrations

• Kafka / event-driven architecture
• Postgre
  
  SQL in cloud environments
• Internal Developer Platforms (e.g. Backstage)
• Multi-cloud exposure or Python tooling experience

• Git Ops + IaC as standard across all delivery
• Strong focus on automation, observability, and reliability
• Continuous improvement culture with strong technical ownership

First 90 days: Deliver a meaningful production win (pipeline, deployment, or service migration) and build strong credibility with stakeholders and customers.

By 6 months: Lead a successful live production go-live or migration and be recognised as a trusted senior technical authority in platform delivery.
