Senior Scrum Master Overview

As a Senior Scrum Master, you will work within the Data Domains, leading the agile practices of squads and supporting the delivery of high‑profile work across multiple squads within the Viewing Domain, collaborating with Sky’s Media, Content and Channel Partnership directorates.

The Viewing Data domain processes and delivers insights from customer viewing behaviour. These insights support the design, build, and maintenance of data products and assets that enable advertising, content, and partnership teams to better understand audiences and deliver more effective campaigns, including both traditional and addressable advertising solutions.

• Agile Excellence: Act as an Agile Coach to squads and leadership, embedding Agile principles across new and established teams.
• Efficiency: Drive agile adoption and continuous improvement at both team and organisational level.
• Operational: Stand up new teams and delivery areas, designing team structures, ceremonies, and onboarding.
• Strategic Delivery: Work with other teams to shape cross‑directorate standards, metrics, and frameworks.
• Collaboration: Partner with leadership to assess and improve the overall agility and performance of the directorate.

• Scrum Master Expertise: Proven experience as a Senior Scrum Master or Agile Coach across multiple squads in complex cross‑functional environments.
• Agile Coaching & Framework Knowledge: Strong coaching, mentoring, and facilitation skills across multiple team levels (Delivery Teams, Scrum Masters, Engineers, Leadership); deep knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, and other Agile delivery frameworks.
• JIRA Governance: Experience governing and optimising JIRA across multiple teams or departments and driving the strategic ambition of having JIRA as the single source of truth.
• Collaboration & Communication: Confident working across organisational boundaries, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively; excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Delivery: Strong understanding of Agile metrics, Delivery KPIs, and techniques for measuring and improving team performance, with the ability to present these metrics in a consistent, scalable format that is easily understood by both squad teams and senior leadership.
• Team Foundation and Scaling: Experience setting up and scaling new Agile teams and/or operating models.

Hybrid working is a key part of the role: you are expected to work two days in the office per week.

Osterley Campus is a 10‑minute walk from Syon Lane train station. You can also use a free shuttle bus that runs to and from Osterley, Gunnersbury, Ealing Broadway and South Ealing tube stations.
