Job Profile Summary
This role supports the Bordereaux Services team within Delegated Authority Oversight, assisting with data collation, document management, and operational processes relating to bordereaux handling. The intern will gain exposure to London Market delegated authority operations, with a focus on data quality, governance, and documentation.
Job DescriptionThe Bordereaux Services Intern will support the team in delivering key operational activities, including:
- Assisting with the DA Property roll‑up process, including consolidation and reconciliation of bordereaux data across multiple sources.
- Supporting the identification, retrieval, and organisation of bordereaux files from broker portals, repository sites, and internal systems.
- Assisting with the tracking and resolution of bordereaux location queries, ensuring appropriate audit trail and documentation is maintained.
- Supporting the review and enhancement of SharePoint folder structures to improve accessibility, version control, and governance alignment.
- Assisting in the updating of process documentation, including procedures and guidance notes for bordereaux handling.
- Performing general administrative and data support tasks to aid the efficiency of the Bordereaux Services function.
The role will involve working collaboratively with Delegated Authority Oversight colleagues and may require interaction with underwriting, operations, and actuarial teams.
Regulatory Responsibilities- Adhere to all applicable company policies, procedures, and delegated authority governance standards.
- Maintain appropriate confidentiality and data protection standards when handling bordereaux and associated information.
- Support accurate record‑keeping to ensure auditability and compliance with Lloyd’s and internal oversight requirements.
- Escalate any data discrepancies or issues identified during processing in line with internal procedures.
Strong attention to detail, particularly when working with data and documentation. Good organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks within defined timelines. Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SharePoint. Clear written and verbal communication skills. Willingness to learn and develop an understanding of delegated authority processes and bordereaux management. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a structured environment.
