Purpose of the role

What is the purpose of the Associate Head of Supporter Data Operations?

The Supporter Data Operations team is part of the Fundraising Operations team in the Engagement & Fundraising Directorate.

The team is responsible for donation processing, data processing, data quality, and user training and support. They are also involved in delivery of our ongoing Supporter Centricity project, focussing on delivering Salesforce to maximise engagement as part of the wider programme.

The Associate Head of Supporter Data Operations leads and manages a varied team who work with stakeholders across Engagement and Fundraising, Technology, and Finance. The postholder is responsible for c20 office based and remote staff.

Key responsibilities

What will I be doing as an Associate Head of Supporter Data Operations?

The post‑holder will help shape how our teams, responsibilities and ways of working evolve after Salesforce go‑live, ensuring the NSPCC and our supporters genuinely feel the benefit of the new technology. They will lead and nurture the Supporter Data Operations team, creating a collaborative, supportive and high‑performing environment where people can thrive through change. They will also hold the vision and roadmap for Salesforce across Engagement & Fundraising, working closely with colleagues to prioritise development and balance project and BAU needs in a way that keeps supporters at the heart of what we do

Qualifications

What skills do I need to be an Assistant Head of Supporter Data Operations?

  • Experience of leading and motivates operational data teams, setting direction and creating a high‑performing culture.
  • Experienced in guiding teams through major technology change, ensuring colleagues are confident and well‑supported.
  • Strong understanding of modern data and platform technologies, including Salesforce.
  • Solid grasp of data governance, quality and security and how these shape good practice
  • Excellent communicator and relationship‑builder, comfortable working across teams.
