Role Overview
The Practice Specialist in Industry Cloud & Digital at Wipro Technologies-United Kingdom will serve as a key contributor to the strategic growth and development of our TS - Industry Cloud & Digital service line. This role demands a dynamic professional capable of driving complex sales cycles from initial engagement through to successful deal closure, specifically within the IT Services and Consulting sectors.
This position offers a unique opportunity to influence the digital transformation journeys of large-scale global clients by leveraging industry knowledge and technical expertise within cloud computing, application development, and security frameworks.
The successful candidate will actively engage in cross-functional collaboration with delivery, marketing, and strategy teams to ensure alignment with client needs and business goals, fostering long-term client relationships. As a vital team member within the Technology Services division, you will work on high-impact deals characterized by multifaceted technical requirements and financial complexities, supporting Wipro’s bold ambitions for innovation and market leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end sales processes, including prospecting, proposal development, negotiation, and closure of multimillion-dollar deals within IT services and consulting domains.
- Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies tailored to industry cloud and digital transformation offerings, ensuring alignment with both client objectives and Wipro’s strategic priorities.
- Guide and mentor sales teams integrating design thinking principles and advanced pipeline management techniques to optimize deal qualification and progression.
- Facilitate competitive analysis, deal shaping, and financial modeling efforts to drive informed client decisions and contract structuring.
- Strengthen client relationships by understanding business processes, challenges, and technology trends to recommend innovative outsourcing, cloud, and security solutions.
- Collaborate with professional services and delivery teams to design scalable solutions meeting complex client requirements across global markets.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and market movements to maintain Wipro’s competitive advantage.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- An undergraduate degree is mandatory; possession of an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is strongly preferred.
- At least 8 years of extensive experience leading sales efforts within IT Services and Consulting, particularly handling large, complex deals.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English to effectively interface with global stakeholders and clients.
- Demonstrated expertise in sales enablement, strategic negotiation, pipeline and proposal management, with strong familiarity in design thinking methodologies.
- Solid understanding of business process outsourcing, cloud platforms, cybersecurity frameworks, and application development lifecycle.
- Proven track record in dealing with multifaceted, multimillion-dollar global opportunities; skilled in contract drafting and financial modeling.
- Experience with in professional services environments, with a keen ability to devise solutions that address the unique needs of diverse industries.
