Dev Ops Team Lead – Development Platform
Primary Responsibilities- Line management of a cross‑location team (onsite / nearshore)
- People development, performance, knowledge, and skills management
- Optimize team ways of working and foster a sense of ownership and collaboration with other department teams
- Understand development team needs and design CI/CD solutions for a Java/Springboot stack
- Drive observability, reliability, and adoption of software development technologies
- Maintain, architect, and evolve the development environment to improve efficiency and productivity
- Collaborate with ops teams on technology adoption in higher environments
- Own, improve, and architect build pipelines and ensure maintenance of the Jenkins cluster
- Coordinate with tech leadership and peers; break down work programs into phases and actionable items
- Drive refinements, prioritize work, and arbitrate project work vs. ad‑hoc requests
- Plan and execute roadmap initiatives
- Experience managing senior individual contributors across multiple locations
- Proven track record of onboarding and adapting to new technologies
- Strong ownership mindset with effective problem‑solving capabilities
- Experience building and packaging JVM‑based projects with a focus on security compliance
- Hands‑on Jenkins experience: shared libraries, declarative/scripted pipelines, Job DSL
- Proficient in Git Lab code hosting and CI/CD practices
- Experience with containers and container orchestration systems
- Experience with IaC, cloud computing, and Dev Sec Ops /Git Ops practices
- Experience with an observability stack
- Java/Springboot projects experience
- Git Ops proficiency with ArgoCD (Application Sets, sync policies, multi‑environment promotion)
- AWS experience (EKS, EC2, IAM, VPC, Cloud Watch, S3) with production‑grade reliability
- Kubernetes workload management, Helm/Helmfile chart authoring, Docker image best practices
- Terraform module development and state management for AWS infrastructure
- Monitoring with Cloud Watch, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK; incident investigation skills
- Dev Sec Ops practices across pipelines and infrastructure; container and IaC vulnerability scanning
- Secrets management using External Secrets Operator with AWS Secrets Manager/SSM
- Documentation of systems, runbooks, pipelines, and platform processes
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.
