Play a key role in ensuring the quality and reliability of the UK’s smart energy network. As a Lead Test Assurance Engineer at Smart DCC, you’ll lead end-to-end testing and assurance activities across critical programmes, working at the heart of complex, high-impact deliveries. You’ll collaborate with internal teams, service providers, and industry stakeholders to ensure solutions are delivered to the highest standards and ready for safe operation.

How you will contribute to transforming the smart energy network and shaping the future- Lead the definition and delivery of test assurance activities across change programmes and BAU portfolios
- Oversee testing across key phases including Pre-Integration, Systems Integration, and User Integration Testing
- Assure delivery from service providers and systems integrators, ensuring alignment to standards and governance
- Manage and resolve testing risks, issues, and defects, ensuring timely and effective outcomes
- Engage and influence internal and external stakeholders, providing clear reporting and insight into test progress and readiness
- Proven experience in testing or test assurance roles
, including leadership or test lead experience - Strong understanding of testing methodologies, frameworks, and governance in complex environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
, with the ability to influence at all levels - Strong analytical and problem-solving capability with a proactive, solution-focused approach
- Experience working within a regulated or complex delivery environment
, ensuring quality and compliance
- Exposure to large-scale, nationally critical programmes at the heart of the UK’s smart energy network
