Product & Proposition Manager - Insurance

Purpose of the role

To manage and develop existing and new products and/or services; and where applicable, ownership of related customer and colleague journeys, develop the product strategy, drive change through Barclays execution teams, make key decisions in the product lifecycle and own associated outcomes for customers, colleagues and the bank, achieved through appropriate service level agreements, regulatory compliance, risk management and controls.

• Development of customer level strategies & solutions tailored to customers’ needs.
• Subject matter expert in the applicable product/proposition team and guide stakeholders on product applications and journeys.
• Development of product propositions, service strategy and define priorities for delivery.
• Evaluation of technical feasibility, legal compliance, and risk of new product launches.
• Monitoring market trends, analysing internal employee and customer feedback through prototypes, user testing and beta programmes.
• Management of comprehensive launch plans, deployment, rollout timelines, marketing strategies, training initiatives and communication channels.
• Monitoring key metrics – adoption rates, usage patterns, customer satisfaction (including complaints) and revenue generation.
• Lead a team or lead collaborative assignments; identify new directions for assignments or projects.
• Consult on complex issues; advise People Leaders; identify risk mitigation and develop new policies and procedures.
• Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources; communicate complex information; influence stakeholders.

As a Product and Proposition Manager – Insurance, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of two insurance products, working closely with a third‑party supplier, partner with product owners, manage operational activities such as customer complaints, and participate in governance forums. The role involves translating governance insights into tangible product improvements, ensuring compliance with regulations, undertaking data analysis, presenting insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
