Job Summary
We are looking for experienced Data Quality Engineers at all levels with strong data and ETL pipeline testing skills, including Python and SQL. Experience with Databricks and Azure ADF is desirable. The successful candidate will join the Enterprise Data Platform team (NOVA) responsible for delivering on the product roadmap and enhancing automation practices.
What You'll Do- Ensure quality is enforced across the agile delivery lifecycle, with full traceability for every delivery from outcome through to user acceptance.
- Deliver data products that are timely, trusted, and always available through functional data testing, integration testing of data pipelines, and non‑functional testing.
- Define the test approach for all business outcomes, working with the product owner to ensure acceptance criteria are met.
- Work with the BA and solution designers to capture test scenarios for each epic within the delivery.
- Ensure test cases are captured and linked to user stories as part of backlog refinement and definition of ready.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated tests executed in CI/CD pipelines and other data environments.
- Participate in technical discussions and provide recommendations for improvements.
- Provide training and guidance for junior and less experienced team and quality practice members.
- Passionate about data and driving quality into our data products.
- Experienced coding in Python and SQL, and development of test automation.
- Experienced in data quality engineering.
- Proven track record of driving quality focused on automation, building tools, and QA testing.
- Very hands‑on in developing quality frameworks and test automation.
- Worked within a scaled agile delivery team, using Scrum and/or Kanban to deliver incremental business value through frequent data product releases.
- Willingness to learn and passion for new innovations and techniques.
- Experience with defect management, triage, and risk assessment (understanding likelihood and impact of a bug).
- Strong analytical problem‑solving skills and looking beyond what is obvious.
- Must have worked in and applied continuous integration (CI) successfully.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Working in a fast‑paced environment.
