Insurance AI Solutions Lead
About the Role

We are seeking a founding Insurance AI Solutions Lead at Further

AI - a uniquely hybrid role that combines deep insurance domain expertise with hands‑on customer implementation leadership. This is a high-impact, in-person position based in London.

You will own end‑to‑end customer implementations – from pre‑sales and kickoff through go‑live and sustained adoption - while also serving as Further

AI’s internal subject matter expert on commercial and London Markets insurance. You will bring the credibility to walk into an underwriting or claims team and immediately earn their trust, and the project management rigor to get complex deployments across the finish line. As part of our GTM team, you’ll work directly with Further

AI leadership & engineers to translate real‑world insurance workflows into scalable AI solutions.

Why Join Further

AI?
  • High Impact: Own the full customer journey—from pre-sales to signed contract to successful deployment—while shaping how AI is built and validated for real insurance workflows.

  • Real Ownership: Build implementation playbooks, evaluate model outputs, and establish best practices that will define how Further

    AI delivers value at scale.

  • Mission‑Driven: Help reinvent commercial insurance with reliable, intelligent AI. Your domain knowledge directly informs what we build and how we sell it.

  • Early Team: Join a tight‑knit, high‑performing group at an early‑stage, VC‑backed startup. Grow with the company and benefit from competitive base, commission, equity, and benefits.

What You’ll Do
Customer Implementation
  • Own end‑to‑end customer implementations: pre-sales expertise, project kickoff, discovery, solution design, configuration, testing, go‑live, and hypercare.

  • Lead kickoff calls and workshops with customer stakeholders across business and technical teams.

  • Develop project plans, manage timelines, and keep implementations on track against customer milestones.

  • Partner with engineering to scope integrations and troubleshoot technical issues.

  • Drive adoption by building training programs, identifying champions, and helping customers change how they work.

  • Handle objections, navigate organizational resistance, and keep projects moving when stakeholders go sideways.

  • Surface expansion opportunities and hand off to sales for upsell/cross‑sell.

Insurance Domain Expertise
  • Serve as the internal expert on commercial insurance workflows, systems, and user needs.

  • Support sales calls with domain credibility and insight to build trust with prospects and accelerate deals. Domain knowledge of London Market insurance, plus traditional carriers, MGAs and brokers is a must‑have.

  • Help design and validate insurance workflows to ensure our AI agents deliver measurable value.

  • Analyze model behavior and suggest improvements grounded in insurance domain logic.

  • Create evaluation sets and benchmarking frameworks that reflect real insurance tasks.

  • Contribute hands‑on to grading outputs or validating model performance.

Product & Process
  • Translate customer feedback and insurance domain insights into product improvements; advocate for customer needs with the product team.

  • Partner with engineering and product to shape features, evaluate model outputs, and iterate based on real‑world use cases.

  • Build and codify delivery best practices—playbooks, templates, and documentation that reduce onboarding time for future hires.

Core Requirements
  • Willing and able to work in London and travel to conferences/customers across the UK & Europe as needed.

  • 5–10+ years of experience in commercial P&C insurance, preferably in underwriting and/or London market, claims, operations, or consulting roles.

  • 3+ years of experience leading customer implementations, enterprise deployments, or technical projects.

  • Deep understanding of insurance workflows, systems, regulatory considerations, and customer pain points.

  • Strong project management skills—capable of driving complex engagements with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

  • Excellent presentation skills—can command a room with executives and build credibility quickly with insurance professionals.

  • Comfortable handling objections and navigating customer resistance.
