Principal Medical Writer – London | Hybrid

Employment Type: Full time, permanent

We’re partnering with a growing, independent medical communications agency to find an experienced Principal Medical Writer (PMW) to join their collaborative and entrepreneurial team!

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working across medical affairs, publications, and strategic scientific projects
—with the chance to take on broader responsibilities and have real input into the business.

What you’ll be doing :

As a Principal Medical Writer, you’ll play a key role in leading high-impact scientific communications across a variety of therapy areas.

  • Lead development of high-quality scientific content across med affairs and publications
  • Work closely with clients, internal teams, and stakeholders to deliver strategic projects
  • Contribute to congress materials, advisory boards, and steering committee deliverables
  • Mentor and support more junior writers within the team
  • Ensure scientific accuracy, quality, and compliance across all outputs
  • Collaborate cross-functionally in a hands-on, team-oriented environment
  • Contribute ideas and bring a proactive approach to projects and client needs
What we’re looking for:
  • At least 6+ years’ experience in medical writing within an agency environment
  • Strong background in medical affairs, with exposure to publications and/or commercial work
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A collaborative, adaptable, and solutions-focused mindset
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Experience in oncology, rare diseases, or similar complex therapy areas is a plus
