Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Content Designer to join a growing government cyber unit partnership team. You will take ownership of content design across digital services, ensuring content is clear, user-centred, and aligned to user needs. This is a fast paced role requiring autonomy, strong judgement, and the ability to manage competing priorities at scale.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver user-centred content across digital services and platforms
Create a wide range of content including guidance, service content, case studies, blogs and policy content
Ensure content decisions are driven by user needs, insights and end-to-end journeys
Manage and prioritise a high volume of content requests effectively
Use CMS platforms (e.g. Word Press, Whitehall) to publish and maintain content
Apply Agile ways of working to manage delivery and workload
Work independently to deliver high-quality outputs with minimal direction
Support and mentor other content designers within the team where needed
Essential Experience
Strong experience in content design within digital services
Proven experience working in central government or public sector environments
Strong understanding of user-centred design and content strategy
Experience delivering a variety of content types across service and policy contexts
Hands-on experience using CMS platforms
Ability to manage workload in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
Confident working independently with strong decision-making skills Desirable
Experience with in cyber security or digital technology programmes
Experience with Word Press or Whitehall publishing platforms
Exposure to both public and private sector environments
Relevant qualifications in content design, UX or communications
