Introduction

We are partnering with a leading financial services organisation undergoing a major transformation programme and are seeking an experienced DBA to join an enterprise data project team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands‑on DBA with strong experience across both traditional relational databases and modern distributed data platforms. You will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to define scalable, resilient, and future‑proof solutions that support critical financial systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain enterprise data models.
  • Develop domain, conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Design solutions across relational and distributed database platforms.
  • Collaborate with architects, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to align data strategy with business objectives.
  • Support data transformation, migration, and modernisation initiatives.
Required Qualifications , Skills and Experience
  • Extensive experience as a DBA / Data Modeller within complex enterprise environments.
  • Strong expertise in data modelling and enterprise data design.
  • Deep knowledge of Oracle and PostgreSQL.
  • Hands‑on experience with distributed database technologies such as Cassandra and/or YugabyteDB.
  • Strong understanding of data governance, scalability, resilience, partitioning, and replication strategies.
  • Experience working within Financial Services, Banking, Capital Markets, Trading, Risk, or Regulatory environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and presentation skills.
