What is the purpose of this job?

RDG’s Quality Assurance Practise is looking for a SA Service Analyst to join the team. This role will primarily be responsible for building and documenting system knowledge in the format prescribed by Quasar. The resource will be responsible for developing and documenting the system knowledge in Confluence in a manner that can be understood by all team members, but also at the same time ensure that clear traceability is maintained and managed between Architectural and QA components.

For them to be successful at delivering in this role, they must have a strong analytical mind that is able to create process diagrams and mind maps that will make clear what the systems components are, how the data flows end to end and the various dependencies between the components.

What can I expect to do in this job?

They must understand the importance of traceability and help to always keep it up to date. They may be called upon to conduct technical and acceptance testing on multiple projects. The successful candidate will have proven experience of manual and automation testing of end‑to‑end solutions, estimation and day to day reporting and defect management.

They will also have proven experience testing in both a waterfall and agile environment, combined with a strong acceptance test related background. The successful candidate will have experience in Test Tools Jira, Confluence and ALM (or similar) and have good knowledge and experience in automation tools like PyCharm and similar.

On behalf of the TOCs and RDG your job will be to support and guide internal and external colleagues, partners, and stakeholders as they undertake their accreditation obligations. Your time will be shared, working within our accreditation team, and checking and validating rail retailing systems within our accreditation area. You can expect to have contact with.

Professionally qualified with a Bachelor of Technology in Engineering and or relevant Computer Science or Information Technology qualification and an ISTQB or similar certification in Advanced Test Management and Agile.

They will also be good leaders, team players and driven to grow the established practise into a stable and sustainable service.

It is essential you can demonstrate experience or competence of:
  • Build and Maintain knowledge of the core functioning of assigned system(s) to serve as support point for projects and BAU/services.
  • Document core functions, requirements and acceptance criteria related to the system(s) assigned to you.
  • Develop and maintain a core understanding of all core QA tools so that you can manage and maintain their interoperability.
  • Review, baseline and re-baseline requirement traceability matrix related to system coverage.
  • Keep your technical skills up to date so you can accurately draft clear, testable requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Always review and assist with signing off requirement acceptance for Quasar.
  • Develop and maintain process and mind maps that help better understand the system functions and features.
  • Build and manage integrations to provide a complete, up-to-date view of system IP.
  • Support Quasar team through QA deliverables as and when required.
  • Work with Quasar, architecture, CCI, project team and suppliers as needed to develop and maintain system IP.
  • Always perform retrospective reviews of system requirements post the updates of projects/BAU/Adhoc/Service upgrades and ensure that the latest version of system requirements is available to team.
  • Ability to identify gaps in information, seek clarifications and provide written accurate findings in a Compliance Review document.
  • Knowledge of checking evidence being submitted by TIS Suppliers in support of their accreditation, is sufficient to meet the requirements of the applicable RSP Standards which the software is being…
