Control Tester

We are supporting a large organisation delivering a significant controls enhancement programme across its technology and operational landscape. As part of this initiative, we are seeking a Controls Tester to support the validation and readiness of new and enhanced controls before they are transitioned into live operation.

Working within an established Governance, Risk & Controls function, you will engage with control owners, technology teams, and business stakeholders to ensure controls are practical, effective, and capable of operating as intended within a regulated environment.

• Support the testing and validation of new and enhanced controls.
• Conduct control walkthroughs with control owners and operators.
• Review control activities, evidence requirements, and testing procedures.
• Identify control gaps, issues, and areas for improvement.
• Document findings and provide feedback to governance and controls teams.
• Support remediation activities where control deficiencies are identified.
• Work with stakeholders across technology, security, and operational functions.
• Maintain accurate testing and assurance documentation.

• Experience in control testing, controls assurance, audit, risk, or compliance environments.
• Understanding of IT General Controls (ITGC).
• Knowledge of Identity & Access Management (IAM) and/or Change Management controls.
• Ability to assess control design and operational effectiveness.
• Strong analytical and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working within regulated environments.
• Exposure to SAP control environments would be advantageous.
• Relevant governance, risk, audit, or security certifications are beneficial.
