Overview

We’re looking for a talented Senior
Data Engineer to join a well-known Insurance Broker that designs, builds, and delivers robust, scalable data solutions. You’ll collaborate across teams, work with modern data tooling, and help shape the data landscape that underpins our business.

Hands‑on expertise with Snowflake and dbt is key for this role.

What You’ll Be Doing Build Modern Data Platforms
  • Design, develop and optimise robust data pipelines using Snowflake
    , dbt and Fivetran
  • Create scalable ELT frameworks that ingest, transform and deliver data from multiple internal and external sources
  • Support the ongoing evolution of a modern cloud‑based data architecture
  • Develop and maintain high‑performance data models for analytics and reporting
  • Optimise SQL queries and data processing workflows to improve performance and efficiency
  • Ensure data quality, consistency and reliability across the organisation
Enable Business Insight
  • Partner closely with Data, BI, Analytics and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver impactful solutions
  • Transform complex data into trusted assets that support strategic decision‑making
  • Help establish best practices across data engineering, governance and automation
Champion Data Governance & Security
  • Support data governance initiatives and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements, including GDPR
  • Contribute to metadata management, data lineage and data quality frameworks
  • Promote secure and responsible data management practices
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience as a Data Engineer within the insurance sector
  • Strong SQL development skills and experience working with large, complex datasets
  • Hands‑on experience with Snowflake and dbt in a modern data platform environment
  • Experience building ELT/ETL pipelines and integrating data from multiple source systems
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modelling
  • Experience troubleshooting data quality, reconciliation and performance issues
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and problem‑solving skills
