Location: Greater London

We're looking for an experienced and proactive IT
Programme Manager to join our IT team on a 12-month fixed term contract. In this role you will lead the end-to-end delivery and coordination of a multi-workstream IT Digital Transformation portfolio at First Bus London. This hybrid role will be based at Chiswick head office with three days a week working onsite. You'll work across a broad mix of programmes including Enterprise systems, core IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, Data, AI and automation, Fleet and operational technology and subsidiary brand technology.

What

you'll be doing

You’ll own the day-to-day delivery oversight of our transformation portfolio.

You will be:

  • Building and maintaining the integrated portfolio view, milestones, dependencies, critical path and the RAID log that keeps the leadership team confident in delivery
  • Managing a range of system integrators, infrastructure provides and SaaS partners through to delivery
  • Steering committees, project boards, status reviews and the executive level reporting that keeps our ELT and First Group stakeholders confident
  • Tracking project budgets against approved business cases and supporting benefits realisation
  • Working in matrix across IT service delivery, cybersecurity, data and digital functions
  • Being the single accountable owner when something hits friction and the calm voice
What we're looking for

We're after someone who's a natural communicator and thrives in a busy environment. You'll need to bring:

  • Previous experience as an IT Project Manager, Programme Manager or an experienced Programme Analyst
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP and Workday environments
  • Confident managing system integrators, SaaS vendors and infrastructure partners
  • Experienced with integrated plans, RAID, governance, status reporting and budget tracker
  • Familiar with PRINCE2, Agile or hybrid methods
  • Fluent in MS Project, Smartsheet or Jira
  • Previous experience within transport, fleet or logistics (desirable)
