Mission Critical Engineering (MCE) Team As an integral part of the EMEA Development Group within the CTO organisation, the MCE team serves as the technical authority and engineering lead during pre-construction. The team defines and governs the design brief, performance requirements, and engineering standards, ensuring solutions are resilient, compliant, and aligned with Vantage’s scaling strategy.

MCE leads consultant and contractor technical engagement, establishes robust technical baselines, and drives informed engineering decisions to optimise cost, programme, and performance. The team ensures design solutions are buildable, scalable, and aligned across all disciplines, integrating CSA, MEP, ICT, and Security requirements into a coordinated and constructible  parallel, MCE leads and drives product and platform development initiatives, including standardisation, OFCI, and DFMA strategies, enabling repeatable, high-quality infrastructure delivery across the EMEA portfolio.

Through strong governance, technical assurance, and continuous improvement, MCE enables efficient, safe, and predictable project outcomes and supports speed to market and capital efficiency.

Position Overview Vantage is seeking a Principal Architect
- Digital & Asset Integration to join the Mission Critical Engineering (MCE) team within the CTO organisation in EMEA. This Principal-level role integrates architectural design authority with digital information governance and end-to-end lifecycle design, data integrity, and asset intelligence across Vantage’s EMEA portfolio.

This role is responsible for delivering data-driven, platform-based data centre solutions across the EMEA portfolio, ensuring continuity from early-stage design through to operations. It establishes the frameworks, standards, and governance required to enable structured digital delivery, modern methods of construction (or DfMA), and operational asset integration.

Operating at a regional EMEA level, the role defines and assures:

Architectural design strategy and platform standardisation

Information governance aligned to ISO 19650

Digital delivery assurance and portfolio-wide consistency

Lifecycle digital asset integration and operational readiness

Data environments supporting analytics, AI, and digital twin enablement

Key Responsibilities Architectural & Platform Design Leadership Lead architectural scope across early-stage development (WS0–WS2), including feasibility, test fits, and concept design

Define and evolve scalable, repeatable design solutions aligned to platform strategy and standardisation objectives

Integrate CSA, MEP, ICT, and Security requirements into coordinated, buildable solutions.

Contribute to product and platform development, including modularisation and DfMA strategies

Support technical decision-making across cost, programme, constructability, and performance.

Digital Information Governance & Programme Leadership Lead regional delivery of digital information strategy aligned with global goals

Establish and maintain ISO 19650-compliant information frameworks and CDE governance (ACC/Forma)
Define / enforce portfolio-wide information standards, naming conventions, and digital workflows

Lead digital delivery assurance, including:

Data quality and lifecycle governance

Design review and submission compliance

Consultant BIM execution governance

Drive portfolio consistency through standardised digital processes, onboarding, and governance

Digital Delivery Oversight / BIM Execution Governance Provide governance over BIM/Digital Delivery teams to ensure consistent execution of:

Model federation and coordination

Clash detection and resolution workflows

Geometry QA and model health monitoring
