Data Engineer - London (Hybrid) | Up to £250,000 + Benefits

Are you a technically exceptional Data Engineer with a background in crypto, Web3 or capital markets? This is a rare opportunity to join a high‑growth HFT firm in London at the heart of their market data product one already trusted by serious clients across global crypto markets.

• Up to £250,000 DOE + benefits
• Hybrid working from central London
• Small team, no layers, no corporate theatre
• Work directly alongside the founding team on critical, high‑impact problems from day one

• Advanced degree in mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science, engineering or similar essential
• Experience in crypto, Web3 or capital markets essential
• 2–4 years building real data infrastructure that others depended on
• Strong Python and strong Rust
• Solid AWS experience, comfortable standing up your own infra and debugging distributed systems
• Strong SQL and a genuine instinct for data quality
• UK-based with full right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
• London-based or willing to self‑relocate from elsewhere in the UK

• Building and maintaining data ingestion from CEX and DEX venues — Web Socket feeds, REST, on‑chain and keeping them live when exchanges do exchange things
• Normalising, validating and reconciling data, gap detection, dedup, schema drift
• Owning storage and delivery: time‑series and historical datasets, APIs and client feeds, and the SLAs behind them
• Building monitoring and alerting so data quality issues are caught internally before a client ever sees them
