Network Security Engineer

Salary: £? - ? per year

• Strong Cisco networking background, including routing, switching, and enterprise environments
• Hands-on experience configuring, deploying, and managing Cisco firewalls
• Experience building and deploying switches and network equipment
• Proven experience delivering enterprise-level network deployments and migrations
• Ability to manage and support large firewall estates of 200 to 2000+ devices
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with the ability to think on our feet
• Experience configuring and supporting enterprise network and security infrastructure
• Willingness to travel between multiple NHS sites as required
• Ability to work 100% onsite, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

• Support large‑scale infrastructure and security projects within a complex NHS environment
• Configure, deploy, and manage Cisco firewalls
• Build and deploy switches and other network equipment
• Deliver enterprise‑level network deployments and migrations
• Manage and support large firewall estates
• Troubleshoot network and security issues quickly and effectively

This is a 6‑month contract opportunity with a possible extension, 100% onsite in Welwyn Garden City (AL7 1BW
), within the NHS Central East ICB NHS Trust.
