Salary: £55,000 - 55,000 per year
Requirements- We are looking for proven experience in a cyber security leadership or management role.
- We need a strong understanding of security frameworks and best practices, such as ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials.
- We require experience managing cyber security risk, governance, and assurance activities.
- We need solid knowledge of IT and security technologies, including networks, cloud, identity, and infrastructure.
- We require experience leading or coordinating cyber incident response.
- We need the ability to communicate complex technical risks clearly to a wide range of stakeholders.
- We require experience producing reports, metrics, and presenting to senior leadership teams.
- We need strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing teams.
- We require experience working with third-party suppliers and security solutions.
- We will have you develop and implement a clear cyber security strategy aligned to our business objectives.
- We will have you lead cyber security governance, risk management, and compliance activities.
- We will have you own and maintain our Information Security Management System (ISMS).
- We will have you ensure alignment with recognised standards such as ISO 27001 and Cyber Essentials.
- We will have you oversee cyber risk identification, assessment, and mitigation, including maintaining the risk register.
- We will have you lead the response to security incidents, ensuring effective plans are in place and regularly tested.
- We will have you monitor the evolving threat landscape and provide expert guidance on emerging risks.
- We will have you manage and develop a small cyber security team, setting clear priorities and performance expectations.
- We will have you oversee the effectiveness of security controls, tools, and processes.
- We will have you produce regular reports and insights for senior stakeholders on risk and security posture.

We are a government organisation seeking an experienced IT Security Manager to lead and shape our cyber security approach. This is a full-time permanent role based in Hampshire on a hybrid basis, with around 2 to 3 days per week in the office or on site and the remainder working remotely. The salary is up to circa £55,000 per annum depending on experience.
